After receiving my Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Second Degree I soon found out that it wasn't just humans who searched Reiki out!  I quickly became very popular with a number of elderly dogs who would come up to me on their morning walks for a little Reiki to help with stiff joints and other ailments!  I found that rescue animals benefited from Reiki on a deep emotional level often helping them in quite dramatic ways.  During autumn 2010 I spent a couple of days channelling Reiki for a group of rescue horses and ponies and was inspired to complete the Equine Reiki 1 course with Sarah Berrisford at Epona Equine Reiki. Whilst treating a very elderly hamster I found that Reiki had opened a door for animal communication within me.  A new skill which I am thoroughly enjoying developing!
